1. What is a Dual Enrollment Student?
Dual enrollment allows high school students to take college courses while they are currently enrolled in high school. Students may wish to take units for credit with William Jessup University for preparation to become a matriculated student or transfer credit. The per unit cost can be found under Tuition & Fees at
www.jessup.edu.
2. What is a non-matriculated student?
Any student who wishes to take continuing education courses, audit, or credit-bearing classes without first enrolling in a degree program is considered to be a non-matriculated student. Dual Enrollment students are eligible to matriculate after completing High School.
3. What background must I have in order to be eligible to take courses at William Jessup University?
High school students are eligible for enrollment upon submitting official high school transcripts, submitting the completed Dual Enrollment Parental & HS Official Consent Form, and successfully passing the Jessup English and Math Assessments.
4. Can I be sure of getting into the course(s) I want?
Dual Enrollment students who have passed the Jessup English and Math Assessments are eligible to attend courses that are delivered in person, online, and synchronously. Online courses, appropriate for the student level and prerequisite completion, are guaranteed enrollment. In person and synchronous courses are based on space availability as priority is given to matriculated students. All courses must be attended in the format for which the student is registered.
5. Am I eligible for financial aid?
Dual Enrollment courses are offered at a significant discount. Only matriculated students may receive financial aid, whether it be institutional, governmental, or loans.
6. How do I apply for matriculation into a degree program when I am ready?
Students who decide they are interested in applying for matriculation may do so by initiating the process through www.jessup.edu/apply . Please pay close attention to traditional admission process priority dates and deadlines.
